  • Using citation database to evaluate journals, authors and collaborators
  • How to ensure that you are using proper manuscript language
  • Building up your article properly
  • What are author’s responsibilities & rights 

Dr. Liyue Zhao,
Journal Publisher, Elsevier

Dr. Liyue Zhao is the Publisher for Computer Networks, Communications and Microelectronics at Elsevier.  He manages computer communications, computer networks, computer architecture and microelectronics titles.  Liyue received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Central Florida. He was on the program committee of IEEE International Conference on Social Computing.

Using Scopus as a research and publishing tool

This presentation will cover:

  • Functionalities of the world’s largest A&I citation database
  • Picking the right journal for your article submission via the journal analyser
  • Current research trends

Ms. Elise Shen, Solution Consultant, Elsevier Singapore

Elise is responsible for assessing the research needs of institutions and recommending suitable e-solutions to complement research work flow. She graduated from the University of London, Imperial College of London, with a degree in MSc International Healthcare Management.
