The importance of training researchers to become good authors has increasingly become a challenging endeavor. This workshop will help authors discover international best practices in publishing, preparing and submitting the correct manuscript language, structuring articles, and understanding ethical writing.

Walika Lhaothong, Channel Marketing Manager - eBooks, Elsevier

Walika Lhaothong is Channel Marketing Manager for books and currently responsible for Singapore and Thailand. She joined Elsevier in 2012 and was actively involved in ScienceDirect (Books) activities including supporting researchers and librarians in managing e-resources to help increase efficiency and research outcomes. Prior to her job at Elsevier, she worked with Swets Information Services as customer service and sales support for Thailand.

Dr. Sangeeta Mehta, Director, South Asia Research Solution Sales - eBooks, Elsevier

Sangeeta Mehta holds a Doctorate in Microbiology specializing in drug target discovery and biological control and MS with specialization in Pathology. Dr. Mehta has been awarded NIH Fellowship and Adjunct Faculty position at the Burnett School of Medicine, Florida, USA and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship by NSERC at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Before joining Elsevier, Dr. Mehta has worked at organizations such as Agilent Technologies, Thomson Reuters, ASSOCHAM and TERI at various capacities, with the objective to bring a solutions approach to sales and marketing. In her previous roles she has contributed her knowledge of Industry, Academia and Government to frame solution sales approaches according to customer workflows and has implemented many MOUs with Industry and Academia for collaborations resulting in solution sales, creating value for customers and developing KoLs.

To date, she has 8 peer reviewed publications, 4 invited book chapters from Springer-Verlag on microbial ecology. She is key inventor on 4 PCT, 4 US, 1 European, 2  Indian and 1 South African published patents in the field of Applied Microbiology. Also, she has successfully transferred microbial technologies to blue chip technology companies in India and globally.
